Based at our modern offices in Daneshill the Champion Build team is made up of experienced, passionate and dynamic manages who all contribute to the successful running of the on-site operatives.
Barry founded the Champion Group in 1981. With over 30 years experience in the construction industry, Barry is responsible for all aspects of the Champion Group.
Barry is still actively involved in Champion Build and ensures that standards and quality are at the forefront of everything we do.
Andy has been with The Champion Group for 8 years having started in a managerial position within the Tool Hire division. Now based at our head office; Andy is responsible for the commercial management of Champion Build and its development work for Champion Homes.
Paul is a Carpenter by trade and has over 25 years experience in the Building industry working on a variety of new and listed buildings.
He joined the Group in 2004 as a Site Manager and has worked as a Senior Contracts Manager within Champion Build since 2010. Paul is responsible for the management of our Champion Homes development sites and continues to assist in the management of small works and refurbishments as required.
Paul holds the industry recognised SMSTS certificate. He is also a qualified Face Fit tester and a first aider. In 2014 Paul completed the SEATS environmental course.
Tony joined Champion Build in April 2015 and has added a wealth of knowledge and experience to our production management team. A carpenter by trade, Tony ran a successful local building company for numerous years before taking a managerial position within Build.
Tony is responsible for the safe and smooth management of all our domestic works and extensions. Tony holds the industry acclaimed 5 day SMSTS certificate and is a trained first aider.
Dave joined the team in March 2016 in a production based role focusing on labour planning, material ordering and general operational co-ordination. With a background in roofing Dave is also responsible for the day to day management of our various Sentinel projects which we have been working on for the past few years.
Dave holds the 5 day SMSTS qualification and will be undertaking emergency first aid at work training in early January 2017.Dave is also be involved with office functions such as payroll and sub-contractor procurement.
Louis has been with us since September 2014 and has a HNC in Surveying from Southampton Solent University. Louis is currently working with Pete Smith (Major Projects Manager for Champion Contractors) on the Wella Road office project to further his on site management skills.
Louis has completed the SMSTS training course and a 3 day first aid at work course in 2016 and we look forward to him continuing his training and development in 2o17.
With over 10 years experience in the accounting profession, Kevin qualified as a member of CIMA in 2010. Previous experience includes private practice and manufacturing organsiations. Since 2007 he has been working with the Champion Group to provide a stable business model to ensure consistent growth and financial stability. Kevin and his accounts team are responsible for all financial matters including purchase ledger, sales ledger, treasury functions and all operational matters.
Kirsty joined the Champion Group from college as a Trainee Surveyor and holds a BSc Degree in Quantity Surveying. She has over 10 years experience in the construction industry with The Champion Group. Kirsty is responsible for the management of all operational functions within the Group including Health & Safety, HR, Training, Fleet Management and Procurement (amongst other things)
